I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Emerson College, Boston, I headed west to the San Francisco Bay Area for graduate school. Thus I spent my young adult life there and traveled a lot of the world. I was a 20 year+ active member of the First Church of Religious Science of Oakland led by Dr. Margret Storz. In 2010 I retired from SF Unified School as a Secondary Teacher-Coach. I came to Western NC/Asheville to be closer (driving distance) to other life-long friends and family. I currently live in Mills River. I attend the Reuter Family YMCA five days a week for at least 3hrs. per visit for classes and pickle ball. While driving down route 191/Brevard Rd. I saw the SIGN and discovered Unity of the Blue Ridge.
