 Dr. John Waterhouse, Facilitator

Author, spiritual teacher, and transformational guide with decades of experience in spiritual practice and community leadership.
He and his wife, Dr. Barbara, founded Center for Spiritual Living, Asheville in the living room of their rural farmhouse in 1995. This was a humble beginning for what would become a lifelong ministry. Dr. John went on to play a key role in reunifying United Centers for Spiritual Living and International Centers for Spiritual Living into a single organization.
In February 2012, he was elected the first President of Centers for Spiritual Living, was re-elected to a second term in 2014, and served in that role through 2018.
Dr. John holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as honorary Doctor of Divinity and Doctor of Religious Science degrees from Holmes Institute.
